Why St. Moritz

Where Old Money Still Winters

St. Moritz has never really been about the skiing. British travellers discovered it as a winter destination in the 19th century, and the aristocracy who followed came for the frozen lake, the light and each other, favouring fur and cashmere over logos then, just as the town still does today. Every January, that tradition has its centrepiece: the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz, the only high goal polo tournament played on snow, drawing teams onto the frozen lake every winter since 1985. Our retreat is built around a VIP day at the 2027 edition, with hospitality, lunch and champagne included, on the same ice where St. Moritz's social calendar has turned for forty years.

On the Same Frozen Lake

THE ICE St. Moritz

St. Moritz's winter calendar doesn't stop at polo. Each February, THE ICE St. Moritz brings a parade of vintage cars racing across this same frozen lake, with evening galas at Badrutt's Palace served by waiters gliding by on ice skates, just a glimpse of how seriously this town takes its winters.

Your Stay in St. Moritz

Chesa Goodmountain (or similar)

A private, fully-staffed chalet in the heart of St. Moritz, sleeping 10 across 5 en-suite bedrooms over 409 square metres. Reclaimed alpine wood, open fireplaces and an indoor jacuzzi, sauna and steam room set the tone, with balconies, a terrace and garden, a dedicated office space and a garage with ski storage.

The chalet is fully catered: a pre-arrival concierge service, in-resort assistance from 8am to 10pm, champagne and chocolate on arrival, a private chef and butler 8 hours a day, daily housekeeping, bed linen, towels, bathrobes and slippers, luggage assistance, toiletries, fresh flowers and an end-of-stay clean are all part of your week. Breakfast is included daily, with two evenings prepared in-house by your private chef, Swiss VAT included. The rest of the week is yours to explore St. Moritz's most celebrated restaurants.
